Jay Finnegan has resigned from his job as CEO of 194-bed Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center in Davenport, effective immediately, according to a news release from the hospital.
Finnegan leaves Heart of Florida Regional Medical Center
Health Management Associates, which owns the hospital, said it has appointed two current HMA executives to fill the job’s day-to-day duties rather than appoint an interim CEO while the hospital searches for a permanent successor to Finnegan. Taking over the CEO role temporarily will be HMA Division President Josh Putter and Division Vice President Robert Hammond.
The news release stated Finnegan had resigned to pursue other opportunities, and that the hospital wished him well.
