Accentus buys speech-recognition company Mrecord
Tushar Parekh, Mrecord's founder and CEO, will join Accentus as a strategic adviser and will be charged with managing ambulatory operations in Asia and overseeing Mrecord's development center in India, according to a news release from the buyer.
This is the latest of several acquisitions of American medical-transcription companies by Accentus in recent months. In December, the company bought ZyloMed, Bonita Springs, Fla., and Transolutions, Waukegan, Ill., for undisclosed sums.
According to the release, Accentus plans to use Mrecord's technology platform to "further enhance its ambulatory care service offering. "
