The American College of Physicians, Philadelphia, named Dr. Patrick Alguire senior vice president for medical education.
American College of Physicians names Alguire a senior VP
Alguire, 60, takes the position previously held by Dr. Steven Weinberger, who was named executive vice president and CEO of the ACP in July, according to a spokesman.
Alguire has been handling the roles of the medical-education senior vice president since Weinberger’s appointment. Previously, he was the ACP’s director of education and career development. He also is a clinical professor of medicine at Thomas Jefferson Medical School, Philadelphia.
