Cambridge Health Alliance, a Harvard University-affiliated public healthcare system, has promoted Dr. Somava Stout to the newly created position of vice president for patient-centered medical home development.
Cambridge Health names Stout VP for med-home development
In this role, Stout will direct the deployment of the medical-home model in the Cambridge ambulatory care network and will coordinate the staff training and team development needed to support integrated care, according to a Cambridge news release.
Stout, 39, joined Cambridge in 2004 and helped implement a medical-home model as medical director of the alliance's Revere (Mass.) Family Health practice. She also is an instructor at Harvard Medical School and is president of the Cambridge medical staff.
