On the heels of launching its Center for Personalized Healthcare, Cleveland Clinic has announced the opening of a plastic-surgery center.
Cosmetic surgery for Cleveland Clinic
The Cosmetic & Plastic Surgery Center will take a "multidisciplinary approach" to providing cosmetic procedures, according to a news release from the clinic. Procedures to be offered include face-lifts, breast augmentation, chemical peels, cosmetic injectables such as Botox and a variety of body-contouring surgery procedures. Twenty-two physicians are affiliated with the center, according to the Cleveland Clinic's website.
"Collaboration between doctors who come from different disciplines brings you the best possible patient care and outcome," said Dr. James Zins, chairman of the clinic's department of plastic and reconstructive surgery. "We believe that this novel approach represents the future of cosmetic surgery."
It has been a busy January for Cleveland Clinic, which also announced this month that it had teamed up with Columbia, Md.-based healthcare provider MedStar Health to create an "innovation alliance" and sold its spinoff company Intelect Medical to Boston Scientific Corp. for $60 million.
