Dr. Jerry Levine has been appointed to the new positions of executive vice president for clinical integration and chief medical officer at CaroMont Health, which includes a 44-physican medical group and 397-bed Gaston Memorial Hospital in Gastonia, N.C.
CaroMont names Levine exec VP, CMO
Levine, 61, is an infectious-disease specialist who was selected for the post after a nationwide search, according to a CaroMont news release. He practiced at the Hackensack (N.J.) University Medical Center, where he led quality-improvement initiatives, for 28 years, according to the release. He held the title of senior medical director of medical administrative affairs.
CaroMont is participating in the Accountable Care Implementation Collaborative sponsored by the Charlotte, N.C.-based Premier healthcare alliance, and Levine will lead CaroMont's efforts in clinical integration and healthcare delivery redesign, according to the release.
