The not-for-profit Electronic Healthcare Network Accreditation Commission, Farmington, Conn., announced the 2011 criteria for nine of its testing and accreditation programs. Programs focus on functions as diverse as electronic prescribing and outsourced services. Groups eligible for accreditation include management-service organizations and health information networks.
EHNAC lists 2011 accreditation criteria
EHNAC also began last year accrediting health information organizations under its health information exchange accreditation program.
Organizations that apply for accreditation or re-accreditation must use the new criteria, according to a news release from EHNAC.
Testing criteria for the various accreditation programs are available online at the organization's website.
