Hill Physicians Medical Group, San Ramon, Calif., is launching a government-programs department to focus on public coverage plans including Medicaid, Medicare and the Children's Health Insurance Program.
Hill Physicians sharpens focus on public programs
Jennifer Pereur will lead the department. Pereur was hired by PriMed Management Consulting Services, the management-services group supporting Hill Physicians. She previously was director of payer services at MedeAnalytics of Emeryville, Calif.
"The new government-programs department works cross-functionally on outreach, network development, compliance and compensation so that we better meet the needs of members who come to us through a governmental health program," Hill Physicians CEO Steve McDermott said in a news release.
Hill Physicians is the largest independent physician association in Northern California, with more than 3,500 physicians and other providers. It offers care to more than 63,000 members of government-sponsored programs such as Medicaid and Medicare.
