PureSafety, Franklin, Tenn., a developer of Web-based software for workplace training, safety and health as well as medical case management and claims management, has acquired a competitor, Occupational Health Research, Skowhegan, Maine, for undisclosed terms, according to a news release from PureSafety.
PureSafety acquires Occupational Health
The Redington Memorial Association, a charitable healthcare trust serving rural Maine, and medical informaticist Dr. William Newkirk incorporated OHR in 1985 to develop a computer system to support improved treatment of injured workers, according to a company history on OHR's website. PureSafety President and CEO Bill Grana said in the news release that Newkirk will serve as the company's medical director.
