CareCentrix, Hartford, Conn., a benefits management firm, has acquired Sleep Management Solutions, a provider of sleep-disorder testing technology for the home. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
CareCentrix buys sleep-technology provider
Sleep Management Solutions, with offices in Suffield, Conn., and Charleston, W.Va, has increased contracted revenues from $315 million to about $600 million in the past two years, according to a news release from CareCentrix. The CMS approved home sleep-testing technology for use in the treatment of sleep disorders in 2008.
CareCentrix provides home health benefits management to managed-care companies. On Monday, the firm named Rex Adams as chief operations officer. Adams, whose age was not provided, previously served as COO for WellCare Health Plans, Tampa, Fla.
