Vocera Communications, a San Jose, Calif.-based communications company that specializes in healthcare, announced that it has acquired Wallace Wireless, Toronto, a smartphone software developer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Vocera buys Wallace Wireless
Wallace Wireless software can be substituted for pagers in the healthcare industry, according to a Vocera news release announcing the deal. Wallace Wireless markets its software to healthcare, public safety and finance companies, according to the release.
The acquisition is Vocera’s fourth since October; the company also has bought Clinical Health Communications, Integrated Voice Solutions and ExperiaHealth.
