Dell will acquire information technology security company SecureWorks, Atlanta, according to a news release from the Round Rock, Texas-based computer manufacturer. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The news follows Dell's December announcement that it would acquire InSite One, Wallingford, Conn., a healthcare IT company, also for an undisclosed amount. Dell completed the InSite One deal Dec. 27, a Dell spokesman said, and the SecureWorks deal is expected to close early this year. SecureWorks—which has clients in 70 countries and several industries, including healthcare—is projected to close fiscal year 2011 with more than $120 million in revenue, according to the release.
