Kaiser Permanente has promoted Philip Fasano to the post of executive vice president. He will also retain the title as chief information officer, which he has held since February 2007.
Fasano, 52, helped complete the electronic health-record rollout at Kaiser Permanente's 489 facilities.
Before joining Kaiser Permanente, Fasano was president and CEO of Capital Sourcing Group, a McLean, Va.-based consulting firm whose clients included the U.S. Homeland Security Department. He has also worked as CIO of Deutsche Financial Services, J.P. Morgan Chase & Co. and American Financial Group.
Fasano is a member of the board ofdDirectors for NCIRE-The Veterans Health Research Institute, previously known as the Northern California Institute for Research and Education, which is on the San Francisco Veterans Affairs Medical Center campus.
