MD On-Line, Parsippany, N.J., has purchased Healthware Solutions, Montville, N.J., developer of the eChartPlus electronic health-record software.
Terms of the deal, which was completed Nov. 17, are not being disclosed, said Rick Vaughan, spokesman for MD On-Line, an electronic data interchange company that connects doctors and insurers.
As part of the deal, Richard Goldstein, one of the designers of the eChartPlus system and a principal with Healthware, will join MD On-Line. Goldstein, an internal medicine physician, will maintain his medical practice.
According to an MD On-Line news release, the company expects to begin offering the eChartPlus system early next year.
