Derek Baird has been named vice president of sales, provider solutions, for Health Language, a medical terminology management company based in Denver. Baird most recently served as the company's director of North American sales, according to a news release. His appointment to the newly created post is effective immediately, a company spokeswoman said.
Before joining Health Language, Baird was the director of business affairs for Zynx Health, a Los Angeles-based health information technology company that specializes in offering clinical decision support tools. He also was the marketing director for Practice Partner, an electronic health-record vendor that McKesson Corp. acquired in 2007. Baird's age was unavailable at deadline.
