One month after Wuesthoff Medical Center-Melbourne (Fla.) was purchased by Health Management Associates, the 115-bed hospital has a new administrator, Susan Takacs.
Wuesthoff names new administrator
Takacs, 40, has worked at three other HMA-owned hospitals since 2003, most recently serving as chief operating officer for Physicians Regional Healthcare System in Naples, Fla.
The hospital in Melbourne became part of the HMA in October, when the for-profit Naples-based health system purchased the two-hospital Wuesthoff Health System for about $152 million. Wuesthoff formerly was a not-for-profit system.
