We need to focus on prevention and personal patient responsibility, and cap the private insurance profits—especially on Medicare Advantage policies—and stop penalizing the providers who are trying to provide excellent care despite the constantly changing hurdles in our way.
Stop penalizing healthcare providers
Let’s start with a bipartisan effort by the president and the speaker to publicly stop smoking and set an example for the rest of the public. If we are tying pay to performance, we should reduce payments to legislators as well. I am sure this will help with budget.
