The needle hasn't moved much since last year on health information technology security spending, but that should change soon.
The Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society conducted its third annual survey of IT security professionals in September and October. It published the results last week.
According to the survey (PDF), 46% of respondents work at organizations that spend 3% or less of their IT budgets on information security. In the survey last year, 61% reported spending less than 3% of their IT budget on security.
