Michelle Block Schreiber, M.D., was appointed to fill the position of CMO at Trinity Health, a Roman Catholic system based in Novi, Mich. She starts Dec. 1 and also will have the title of senior vice president. As CMO, Schreiber will be tasked in part with "championing the electronic medical record as a way to better clinical environments," according to a news release from Trinity Health. Schreiber, 56, has been the senior vice president and chief quality and safety officer at the Detroit Medical Center system since 2007. She previously was a senior staff physician at Henry Ford Health System, Detroit, and also held the position of associate medical director at Henry Ford Hospital, Detroit. Schreiber earned her medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland.
