Kevin Conlin is leaving his post as president and CEO of Via Christi Health on Jan. 2, 2011, to join managed-care company Coventry Health Care as executive vice president.
Conlin, 53, joined the Wichita, Kan.-based hospital system as president and CEO in 2004. Via Christi has 9,000 employees and is the largest health system in Kansas.
During his tenure, Conlin implemented new technologies and further integrated the health ministries. He also oversaw the sale of St. Rose Hospital in Hayward, Calif., and Via Christi Oklahoma Regional Medical Center. In February, Via Christi sold its insurance business, Preferred Health Systems, to Bethesda, Md.-based Coventry.
