Memorial Hermann Healthcare System named Craig Cordola as CEO of Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center, succeeding Juanita Romans, who is retiring. Cordola was promoted to the position after having served as CEO of Children's Memorial Hermann Hospital since 2006, and, previously, as assistant vice president of operations from 2003 to 2006 at that facility. Cordola, 39, also serves as the associate dean for hospital affairs and community partnerships at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston.
When Cordola started at Memorial Hermann in 2003 as assistant vice president of operations at Children's Memorial, he had additional responsibilities as he oversaw the volunteer, environmental, facility and chaplaincy services for the Memorial Hermann-Texas Medical Center campus. He has also served as an adjunct faculty member of the University of Houston Clear Lake Healthcare Administration program.
