FTC lets Iasis-Brim deal move forward
The FTC has granted the deal early termination status, ending the agency’s review of the deal under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act.
The deal, announced this month, is the first hospital acquisition for Iasis since 2008. The two hospitals are 150-bed Wadley Regional Medical Center, Texarkana, Texas, and 15-bed Pikes Peak Regional Hospital, Woodland Park, Colo. Iasis has said that it expects to close the deal by year-end.
Altaris Capital Partners, which owns a majority stake in Brim Holdings, will retain the management and technology businesses under the operating name of Brim Healthcare. Brim Healthcare manages more than 30 hospitals.
