William Prentice has been named executive director of the Ambulatory Surgery Foundation and the Ambulatory Surgery Center Association. He starts Oct. 4 and replaces Kathy Bryant, who held the same position under the title of president.
Prentice to lead ambulatory surgery association
Bryant stepped down from the post she held for 12 years on Aug. 31.
Prentice, 49, most recently worked as the senior vice president of government and public affairs in the Washington office of the American Dental Association. He joined the ADA in 1999 as a senior congressional lobbyist after working as the executive director of the New Jersey Dental Association's political action committee, a news release said.
The Alexandria, Va.-based ASC Association has more than 2,700 members.
