Stantec, a Canadian planning, engineering, architectural and project-management company, said it plans to acquire Burt Hill Inc., an international engineering and design firm headquartered in Philadelphia. The announcement comes two weeks after Edmonton, Alberta-based Stantec said it would buy Anshen and Allen, a firm based in San Francisco that specializes in healthcare projects and amid a dealmaking spree in the sector (Sept. 6, p. 14). Terms were not disclosed for the Burt Hill deal, which is Stantec's ninth acquisition announced this year, according to a news release.
