Stantec, a Canadian planning, engineering, architectural and project-management company, said it plans to acquire Burt Hill, an international engineering and design firm headquartered in Philadelphia.
Stantec to acquire Philly design company
The announcement comes two weeks after Edmonton, Alberta-based Stantec said it would buy Anshen and Allen, a firm based in San Francisco that specializes in healthcare projects. Terms were not disclosed for the Burt Hill deal, which is Stantec's ninth acquisition announced this year, according to a news release.
The additions of Burt Hill and Anshen and Allen, Stantec President and CEO Bob Gomes said in the release, “will create a new global architecture practice with world-class expertise in our key market sectors, particularly healthcare, education, and science and technology.”
