North Memorial Health Care, Robbinsdale, Minn., has indefinitely suspended its top administrator without pay following news this week that he was arrested and charged with attempting to solicit a prostitute in a nearby suburb.
David Cress, 60, of Bloomington, was charged with the misdemeanor crime on Wednesday and released that afternoon on $50 bond, after local police took him into custody in an undercover vice operation in Richfield. Cress has been president and CEO of the 416-bed Minneapolis-area hospital since 2006, and has worked at the standalone facility since 1982.
