The American Society for Radiation Oncology has implemented a restructuring plan that calls for the professional society to be organized into four new divisions: advocacy and clinical affairs, member relations and communications, education, and finance and administration.
ASTRO restructures, names four VPs
In conjunction with the effort, ASTRO has selected four current employees to lead the new divisions. Anna Arnone, 54, formerly the director of membership, has been promoted to vice president of member relations and communications. Lynn Brown, 55, previously the director of education, has been appointed vice president of education.
Former Chief Financial Officer Terry Karras, 35, is now vice president of finance and administration. Emily Wilson, 36, previously director of government relations, has become vice president of advocacy and clinical affairs.
An ASTRO spokeswoman said no employees have left the society in conjunction with the restructuring implementation.
