The HHS has posted a new online tool that allows consumers to search for local health coverage options.
The insurance finder Web tool at healthcare.gov is available for download and for posting on other websites or blogs. The widget asks users to select their home state and the type of coverage they seek (individual, family, etc.). On a new page, users answer four additional questions, and then the tool identifies potential public and private insurance options based on the answers submitted.
"By putting the power of information at your fingertips, HealthCare.gov is helping American families everywhere to take control over their healthcare and make the choices that are right for them,” HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a news release about the widget's launch.
