Via Christi Health, Wichita, Kan., said Randy Peterson now oversees the operations of all of the system’s six hospitals, having added its Wichita hospitals to his duties.
Peterson, 56, had been senior vice president of regional operations, overseeing the system’s three hospitals outside of Wichita, since September 2006. Peterson is taking on duties formerly carried out by Michalene Maringer, who resigned from the system in April. The separate position overseeing Wichita operations has been eliminated, according to a Via Christi spokesman.
Peterson was affiliated with Via Christi before joining the system in 2006. Before that, he was CEO of 199-bed Salina (Kan.) Regional Health Center, in which Via Christi owns nearly a 30% stake.
