Emory Healthcare, HCA ending joint venture
Executives for Emory and for HCA’s TriStar Division, which oversees the company’s hospitals in Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee, do not expect any immediate changes in executive leadership at either hospital, according to the release.
The joint venture between Emory and HCA was set up to manage and operate eight hospitals and five ambulatory surgery centers owned by HCA, then known as Columbia/HCA Healthcare Corp. Emory owns and operates three other hospitals that were never part of the joint venture.
