The Association of Health Information Outsourcing Services has established a five-member internal executive committee.
The Boston-based group represents the health information management outsourcing industry.
Committee members will be responsible for keeping all AHIOS members up to date on relevant changes to legislation and other industry news between full association meetings, according to a July 7 news release.
The new members are G. Michael Bellenghi, AHIOS’ executive vice president and primary spokesman; Bonnie Coffey, former president of the association and founder of CM Information Specialists, Fridley, Minn.; Steve Hynes, president of MRO Corp., King of Prussia, Pa.; Richard Logan, former president of AHIOS and president and CEO of Medical Records Associates, Milton, Mass.; and Matt Rohs, vice president and general manager of release-of-information services at HealthPort, Alpharetta, Ga., and current president of AHIOS.
“In order to enhance the visibility of AHIOS and expand our mission—to increase awareness of the value, importance and complexity of the outsourcing industry while establishing standards of excellence in the release-of-information process—we felt it necessary to create a subcommittee of experts to ensure all industry issues are addressed as soon as they arise,” Rohs said in the release.
