Nearly 40 private-equity firms with investments in about 500 healthcare companies announced a newly created trade group, the Healthcare Private Equity Association. The Chicago-based not-for-profit named Brian Miller, partner and co-founder of health and life science private-equity company Linden Capital Partners, Chicago, as president.
Private-equity firms announce new trade group
Association members’ healthcare companies employ roughly 740,000 and have combined revenue of more than $200 billion, according to a news release announcing the group. The organization will promote: public policy to encourage investment in healthcare; institutional and limited partner investments; public awareness of private equity’s role in the healthcare industry; and member professional development, according to its website.
