Hospital wholesale prices during April 2010 rose 0.1%, according to preliminary Producer Price Index data released by the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That increase mirrored the hospital PPI gain recorded during the prior month.
Doc-office PPI rises in April
For the 12-month ended in April, hospital PPI rose 3.7% compared with 2.6% for the year-ago period.
Physician office wholesale prices increased 0.4% last month compared with a 0.1% drop during March. For the 12-month period ended in April, physician-office PPI rose 2.4% compared with 2.2% during the year-ago period.
