Send Word Now, a New York-based mass notification and incident management services company, has named Alex Tsepetis as chief technology officer. The company's emergency response and alert services are used by several healthcare-related organizations including the Boston Medical Center, Pfizer and the Indian Health Service.
Tsepetis, 38, succeeds Jeremy Sterns who joined the company in 2007 and is now the CTO of AdGenesis, a digital advertising distribution company also based in New York.
Tsepetis previously served as the senior vice president of engineering at Reprise Media, New York, a search engine marketing firm. In his new role at Send Word Now, he will be responsible for overseeing the company's technological initiatives and leading new projects, the company said in a news release.
“We are extremely pleased to have Alex join our company,” Tony Schmitz, the company's president and CEO, said in the release. “Alex is an execution-focused executive with a keen understanding of large-scale data management and distributed systems, and he has a proven track record of delivering robust solutions through a range of software platforms.
