Ivette Estrada, 64, has retired as executive vice president and CEO of Chicago's Our Lady of the Resurrection Medical Center, a position she held for the past nine years. John Short assumed interim leadership of the 191-bed hospital May 1. Short, 54, previously was senior vice president of operations and chief operating officer at 402-bed Resurrection Medical Center, Chicago, which likewise is owned by nine-hospital Resurrection Health Care. Neither facility is among Catholic system's two hospitals slated to be sold to for-profit Vanguard Health Systems, Nashville.

Also on May 1, Maryanne Bajgrowicz became Our Lady of the Resurrection’s interim vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer, filling a vacancy left when Mary Hillard left in January to take a position as vice president of nursing at 271-bed Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville, Ill.
