Edward Zecchini has been named executive vice president and chief technology officer for Sandata Technologies, a home healthcare IT solutions company based in Port Washington, N.Y.
Zecchini, 49, assumed the role on April 27, according to a Sandata spokeswoman. He was previously executive vice president and chief information officer at Touchstone Healthcare Partnership, a Medicare HMO based in New York. Prior to that, Zecchini served as the senior vice president and CIO at HealthMarkets, a life and health insurance company based in North Richland Hills, Texas.
Gary Stoller, who until recently held the post of executive vice president and chief information and technology officer at Sandata, will remain on as CIO. Stoller will report to Zecchini and will remain actively involved in technology operations, according to a company news release.
In his new position, Zecchini will be charged with managing the development and production of the company's IT solutions. One of his primary tasks will be to oversee the consolidation of Sandata's Medicare and Medicaid software products into one usable platform, according to the company.
