The New York City Health and Hospitals Corp. named Norberto Robles to succeed Frances Pandolfi as corporate chief information officer. Robles, 57, joined the public, 12-hospital system earlier this month from the SUNY (New York) Downstate Medical Center, where he was CIO. He was previously a consultant with RC&A. and a practice director who specialized in information technology with PricewaterhouseCoopers, the system said in a news release announcing his appointment.
Robles, who was also named HHC's senior vice president of information technology, will head the effort to position the Health and Hospitals Corp. for federal IT funding available under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009.
Pandolfi, whose age was not available, was CIO for the NYC Health and Hospitals Corp. for seven years before she was named the system's restructuring project director last September, a spokeswoman said.
