MedEx, Las Vegas, a newly formed medical acquisitions company, named Larry Shea as chief operating officer and a member of its board of directors, effective March 9. Shea, 40, manages corporate operations, finance and business development for MedEx, which specializes in the acquisition of medical supply and medical technology companies, according to its Web site.
Shea previously served as president and CEO of the now-defunct Professional Staffing Network of Nevada, Las Vegas, a practice-management and development-services consulting company he started in 1997. While there, he also served as acting COO of Hogan Medical Center, a walk-in medical clinic located near the Las Vegas Strip.
