Bon Secours Health System, Marriottsville, Md., has named Philip Patterson to succeed Terence O’Brien, 62, as CEO of its New York regional system, effective immediately.
Patterson, 41, has been interim chief executive of the Bon Secours Charity Health System since O’Brien’s departure in December after nine months on the job.
Patterson was previously Bon Secours Charity’s chief operating officer. He was also executive vice president of Good Samaritan Hospital, Suffern, N.Y., one of the regional system’s three hospitals along with Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y., and St. Anthony Community Hospital, Warwick, N.Y. He joined Bon Secours from Minneapolis, Minn.-based Allina Hospitals and Clinics, which owns 11 hospitals and manages another.
