This legislation will take away our freedom of choice, bankrupt the nation and lower the quality of healthcare. Only Congress members will have good healthcare now.
An attack on freedom of choice
The federal government ruined Social Security; Medicare is broke; the Post Office is broke; Amtrak is broke. Who thinks Big Brother can run a healthcare system—plus the banks, plus the automobile companies? Soon they will take over the drug companies, as well. There is no end in sight. I predict a Third World country in 20 years.

You cannot address healthcare until you address the legal lawsuits against the doctors. There needs to be a ceiling on the amount that can be levied. Until this happens, healthcare costs will go up and up. The two are attached at the hip. I have had physicians tell me that they would not do certain tests on patients but fear litigation down the road if something happened.
They need to fix the drug company prices, which are too high. They need to leave the rest alone. The people who can afford healthcare will get it on their own. For the others, just extend the Medicaid program as simple as that.
Obama has doomed our children and their futures.
Why is he not listening to the American public? The fall 2010 election should be interesting.
I am a healthcare provider now for 36 years.
