FiatLux Imaging, a Redmond, Wash.-based provider of Internet-based medical imaging data services, has named Max Lyon as its CEO. He replaces Mary Frances Feider, who was one of the company's three co-founders when it was launched in April 2007. Last November, FiatLux made its 3-D image conversion software, FiatLux Visualize available for free download.
Lyon, 55, has been the president, CEO and co-founder of several healthcare-related companies, including: Adeona Pharmaceuticals, Bainbridge Sciences (which was acquired by C.R. Bard), BioControl Systems, CG Therapeutics, Confirma (which was purchased last year by Merge Healthcare), and NexCura. He also worked as a senior vice president of administration at Genetic Systems Corp. and was a co-founder and director of Oncogen, a Syntex Corp. and Genetic Systems joint venture.
