Not-for-profit Inova Health System, Fairfax, Va., has named Ryan Bosch, 40, as its chief medical information officer.
Bosch is the first person to hold this position at Inova and will begin his duties on March 15, according to a written statement from the health system.
In this capacity, Bosch will be developing application strategies, managing the implementation of advanced clinical systems, and assisting in the formation and execution of strategic initiatives. He'll also be providing project management as well as helping to develop relationships with Inova partners, vendors and staff.
Before joining Inova, Bosch worked as the director of general internal medicine at George Washington University Medical Faculty Associates, Washington. He also directed the implementation of its electronic health record for George Washington University academic faculty.
At Deloitte's National Healthcare practice, Bosch provided executive-level strategic insight and implementation consulting for businesses with active clinical technology initiatives in healthcare. He is board certified in internal medicine and aerospace medicine, and holds an active medical license in Virginia.
