Diversified Information Technologies, Scranton, Pa., said it has acquired Bowman Enterprises, which provides document management services, to further Diversified’s push into healthcare IT. Terms were not disclosed.
Bowman provides its services to about 160 clients, mostly in the healthcare and government sectors in the Southeast U.S. The company had revenue of about $6.5 million in 2009, according to Diversified, which had 2009 revenue of about $40 million.
In October 2009, Diversified acquired another document management provider, Active Data Services, Raleigh, N.C., which is less than 50 miles from Bowman’s headquarters in Benson, N.C. “This is our second strategic acquisition in the past six months and further expands our footprint in the healthcare industry, where we see a great deal of opportunity in the implementation of electronic medical records,” said Scott Byers, president and CEO of Diversified, in a news release.
