Dustin Corcoran is the new chief executive officer of the California Medical Association.
Corcoran has worked for the Sacramento-based physician organization for nearly 12 years, most recently as deputy CEO. He previously led the CMA’s lobbying efforts, which included sponsoring a bill requiring most employers to provide health benefits to workers or pay a fee. That law, signed by Gov. Gray Davis in 2003, was later overturned via a ballot initiative.
