Broadlane, Dallas, announced the resignation of David Ricker as president and CEO. Patrick Ryan, the company's chairman, has been named to succeed Ricker as chief executive and Broadlane Chief Operating Officer Thomas Sherry added the title of president. Ricker, who founded the group-purchasing organization, added the title CEO to his role as president in August 2008. He will remain on the company's board of directors, the company said in a release announcing the executive changes. Ryan has been Broadlane's chairman since May 2009 and is a managing director of venture capital firm Clark Street Ventures. Sherry was named Broadlane's COO in September 2008 and was previously executive vice president of the company's client-care division. Ages were unavailable at deadline.
