Former Partners HealthCare System CEO James Mongan, 67, has been tapped to serve on the board of directors for Dublin, Ohio-based Cardinal Health. Mongan, who retired from the Boston-based healthcare system in December 2009, will also serve on the company’s audit committee, according to a news release. His appointment is effective immediately. Mongan became CEO of Partners in 2003. Prior to that, he spent six years as president and CEO of Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston, one of the founding members of the Partners system.
