Voting for the sixth annual ranking of the 50 Most Powerful Physician Executives in Healthcare is now under way. Modern Healthcare and sister publication Modern Physician co-sponsor this annual recognition program. Voting will continue through Feb. 5, 2010.

The nominating period ran from Nov. 9 through Dec. 11, and readers submitted some 11,300 nominations.
The 100 physician-executives who received the most nominations constitute the final ballot. The 50 physicians who receive the most votes make the final list, with the ranking determined by the number of votes received. Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician reserve the right to resolve voting irregularities.
The final 2010 ranking will be published in the April 12, 2010 issue of Modern Healthcare and Modern Physician.
