Tallahassee (Fla.) Memorial HealthCare has agreed to provide management and consulting services to 48-bed Doctors' Memorial Hospital in Perry, Fla., which is about 70 miles southeast of Tallahassee. The board of Doctors' Memorial approved the agreement and also the hiring by Tallahassee Memorial of Richard Huth as CEO of the Doctors' Memorial. Huth, 56, begins at the hospital on Dec. 28 and replaces interim CEO Don Rock.

Huth is a former chief operating officer at 177-bed Capital Regional Medical Center, Tallahassee. Earlier this month, that HCA-owned hospital signed a letter of intent to negotiate an operating lease for Gadsden Community Hospital in Quincy, which is about 25 miles northwest of Tallahassee.
