U.S. Healthworks Medical Group, a Valencia, Calif.-based operator of urgent-care and occupational healthcare centers, acquired four of the five Seattle-area facilities run by HealthForce Occupational Medicine. No financial terms were disclosed.
U.S. Healthworks acquires Seattle-area facilities
The newly acquired facilities were located in Seattle, Everett, Paine Field and Tukwila, and increase the number of U.S. Healthworks' facilities in Washington to 17 and to 128 nationwide, according to a news release. Bothell, Wash.-based HealthForce retained its medical center in Bellevue, Wash., which opened in January 2008 and its work-site services division.
U.S. Healthworks has facilities in 13 states and has some 350 affiliated physicians working in its facilities, which specialize in return-to-work treatment and injury-prevention and wellness programs.
