Wholesale prices for hospitals fell 0.5% in November after October's yearly spike of 1%, the Bureau of Labor Statistics preliminary Producer Price Index figures show. The hospital index was flat in November 2008. For the year that ended last month, hospital wholesale prices increased 2.3% compared with 1.9% the prior 12 months.
Wholesale doc-office prices fell in November
The physician PPI dipped 0.1% in November after climbing 0.2% in October. In November 2008, wholesale prices for physicians increased 0.2%. The physician index rose 2.2% in the 12 months that ended in November after climbing 2.3% in the prior year.
